Hi. Has anyone had a good experience with these? The concept is great, but not if it doesn't work! Is it the firmware that is unstable, or the controller software? Have the Vesternet staff had any experience with them? Also, are they always listening, or do they have a wake up period? Thanks, Ed View answers

I have a Homeseer setup and have bought the Fibrao FGS 223. I have managed to include it but want to change the default toggle to momentary switch as that's what I have elsewhere [legacy X10]. I tried Setting Parameter 20 to 0 in homseer z-wave node but it just says error and dosent change. Any help please View answer

Hi Folks. Is it feasible to use this sensor to control your central heating. If I used a fibaro relay to control the boiler could the temperature sensor be used as a thermostat to set or monitor the temperature or would I need to buy a dedicated Zwave thermostat? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. View answer

How does the thermostat in a room that is too cold turn the boiler on so that the radiator can be supplied with hot water. You can’t leave the boiler set on permanently. In most UK central heating systems there is a central thermostat and or programmer that determines when the boiler switches on or off. View answers

Hi all, I have installed a couple of these (fgs223) on a 2 way switch. One is an on off switch and the other is a dimmer. I've put the switches behind the on off switch. That bit works well but now the separate dimmer won't dim it only switches on and off. Any suggestions? View answers

Z-Wave Fibaro KeyFob working with the Vera plus ?
Asked 7 ´years ago | Z-Wave Fibaro KeyFob
I think I need this, since my LED lamp still glows a bit when it should be off, but am not clear on how it is meant to be fitted. The wiring diagram in the manual is hopeless - so do you have to put this inside the light fitting somehow ? I don't see where it would physically go, to bridge across the bulb. There are two lights driven by the same switch, so do I need to bypass them both ? View answers

Can these be placed in an unfinished loft/attic? Some smoke detectors specifically state not to place them in an unfinished attic (e.g. Nest Protect) due to the large temp changes etc. Could not find anything specific re. these so thought I would pose the question here. Thanks chaps! View answers

How many 240V GU10 Led Bulbs (Dimmable ones) can the FD2 support? I have 3 light fittings for outside my house that house 2 GU10 240 Bulbs or GU10 240V Dimmable Bulbs. I am going to use the LED Dimmable bulbs which on the box say "Use only 7 watts per bulb". So a total of 6 bulbs in 3 light housings. I'm going to wire them back to a junction box in parellel (not serial) and into then into the FB2 but was worried that 6 bulbs of this type (or even 10) would fry it? I have the original Fibaro Bypass Module also (FGB001) which I bought a few years ago but never used, could I use this if I need it? The LED 240v GU10 bulbs are "dimmable" Thanks! Andy View answers

Does this need ventilation? I was planning on using these in the loft for the upstairs lighting and putting them in PVC boxes along with any connectors etc. This is to keep things neat and safe but wondered if I need to drill holes in the boxes for ventilation? View answers

Will this work with the latest Aeotec Nano Dimmer for which does not have a bypass available yet? I cannot beleive that the internals will be much difference between provisors - basically some additional resistance and capacitance added. Has anyone tied this and can report compatability? What's the difference between this model (FIBEFGS-223) and the FIBEFGS-222? One is described as a switch and the other as a relay, but otherwise seem identical. Does it make any difference to what it can do? I want to use them behind existing light switches to control lighting circuits - does it make any difference which I use? Thanks! View answers

Would there be a minimum GU10 number of lights that would not need a Fibaro dimmer 2 ? I have a number of circuits with GU10 lights 6W X 9 in a kitchen and out in a hallway 2 way circuits of 2 each by 2 and a circuit of 4. Would I need a dimmer bypass then for all circuits. View answer

Hi - when wired this into a double switch and then included this with a Vera Plus controller there were 3 devices created - the master and 2x appliance modules. In Vera only using the master switch has an affect and it only controls one of the switches. How do I include this so that both switches are controlled? View answer

I want to use a Fibaro relay to swicth an immersion heater on and off. The load is switched using a double pole relay. Can I simply connect the Fibaro output across the relay energising contacts, or will you need a resistor in series to reduce the current? View answer

Is this device suitable for switching 230V LED lights, or would it be better to use the double relay switch instead? Since it doesn't have dry contacts, I'm wondering if the LEDs may flicker while switched off (as is the case for the dimmer module). View answers

I look at the instruction manual for the wiring diagrams. I have two wires coming from the wall and it has no wall switch. When I moved in, it had a cheap strip light with shaver socket and its own onboard switch. I have removed this old fitting. I am planning to install an LED strip light running off 12V. I wish to use the Fibaro Dimmer 2 with bypass 2. When I look at the wiring diagram for a 2 wire setup, it assumes I will have a Wall Switch. This makes the diagram useless to me. Can anybody help with an adjusted diagram please? View answer
