Yes, these work directly in Hue gateway using "Touchlink", see the manual at https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/006... for further details.
In terms of Home Assistant that's not something that we can answer so we'd suggest checking with their support or forum to see if their integration with Hue exposes Touchlink devices.
