No - it is not waterproof. The z-wave button has several parts with seams that are likely to allow rainwater in and cause corrosion. A better option would be a standard bell push, and an alternate Z-Wave sensor such as a FGK-101. The bell push can be wired to IN and GND, and the sensor placed remotely indoors. This does need minor software re-configuration to change the input from NC to NO.
