you would need to check the power rating on the cooker doesnt exceed the power rating o fthis device but I should think so. It manages to control my immersion heater with no problems. It is only on or off remember.

Yes. It is rated at 45A. Cooker circuits are either 32A or 40A. I have one for each of my cooker, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer and immersion heater. Electrician was quite happy with them.

Provided the cooker is not pulling more than the switch can handle (it's rated up to 40A), then it would work fine.
