I understand that refers to the previous model of this detector which was available in a 12v wired version and a battery version. The current model is only available in a lithium battery powered version. Neither of them work off mains voltage.

Sounds like the Fibaro site is incorrect and refers to the old version (discontinued in June 2015). The Plus version has never had the option for external power. It is battery powered only.

Hi. You will need to put in a 12v or 24v adapter to use the existing mains power. If you have the same 240v wiring to only all your current smoke alarms from the fuse board. You can probably convert it from the fuse box end if you were planning to replace all the existing smoke alarms to fibaro.
