Dry or volt free contacts are simply contacts that can be used to switch an existing circuit. They don't provide the voltage power, they just act as a switch to close a circuit and in this case are opened and closed by a relay.
This module has contacts that draw power to run the module but that power is not used to drive the connected load. The dry contacts are opened or closed by the internal relay allowing you to switch a device (such as a light) on or off.
I use these for switching my outside lights. Wiring is simple, you just need to be sure that you can provide continuous power to the module so it can operate the relay. (See the 3-wire system explanation on this site)

This is different from most modules in that it doesn't use the power input to power the device. Instead it just completes a circuit when turned on. The voltage within that circuit can be anything - in using a 6v circuit for my garage door switch.

The voltage free switch is an independent relay. With many modules (e.g. fibaro dual switch ones), the output can only go to the mains voltage powering the device. With a voltage free switch, there is an independent input and output, and the output is connected to the input when you switch, not to the mains supply. Ideal for switching something other than mains.

Dry or voltage free contacts means that you the device does not apply any voltages to the contact. All it gives you is a open or short between the terminals dependent on the devices On/Off state.
