Yes. That is where I put two of mine. However note that it doesn't have a magnetic fixing (like it says on Aeon'so website) so you will need access from above or pull it out if you want to reset/exclude etc. I cut a smaller hole with interference fit and don't use the clips as it damages the finish around the hole as I had no access from above. I will sort out my own magnetic fitting when I get time. Also it's not "brilliant white" in finish. Expensive for what it is but gives a professional finish. Hope that helps.

I have one installed in the ceiling of our bathroom, running on batteries. I'm looking at getting it wired into the mains to increase the frequency of temperature and humidity reports.

Yes, it's just a recessed plastic mount-make a hole to place it in in the ceiling and you're done.

Not sure mate, it's only 5volts so it's not going to give you a shock - not sure of the functionality working too good with steam etc

I've used it in the bathroom ceiling. Makes the detector seem invisible.
